Bernard Duvernay has been at the head of a farriery company in Geneva Switzerland for more than 30 years. Named the “Flying Anvil” by his colleagues, he has been travelling the world as a consultant farrier in famous stables, and in development programs. He is a well-
known lecturer and organizer of continuing education programs in many countries, visiting the best thoroughbred stud farms in India regularly for the last 20 years. He was admitted to the farriers’ “Hall of fame 2011” in the USA for his contribution to the improvement of the farriery standard in many countries.
As a final contribution to his career, in 2010 Bernard created the “Flying Anvil Foundation “to help farriery in countries where there are no education structures or programs for the farriery profession. In April 2014, the first farriery Institute in India created in Rajasthan was officially inaugurated.
Professional tools, developed and created by professional farrier in 2008
Bernard Duvernay created a special line of tools adapted to the needs of professional European farriers. Extensive research has gone into the tool line, and into the the comfort of the tools in the hand. The steel used in their manufacture is adapted to the heaviness of farriery work and is intended to be long-lasting. The line is designed to be just right for the whole range of tasks on horses’ feet, from trimming to shoeing. The rasp is the most challenging tool to manufacture for our set, and for this reason, rasps are provided by one of the leading specialist companies in Switzerland named “Vallorbe”, thereby guaranteeing the best quality of this full range of tools.
Enjoy our tools, make your work easy, improve the result of your shoeing!
